Notes taking and organization became a trending topic. There're a lots of desktop apps available but who can better handle a text editor job than a text editor?
Hence, I simply stayed with neovim and the mkdnflow plugin:

@nnungest Emacs is another great tool but as I wrote earlier I couldn't make it work for me (https://www-gem.bearblog.dev/vim_why-not-another-text-editor/).
Neovim is a serious note taker (among other super power ;) ). Glad you have a good way of managing your notes that works for you.
