Recently overheard my dad telling a story about how when he was a teen, he was a Pink Floyd fan. However, their music made him feel "dark and depressing" so he destroyed all the albums he owned and "felt better afterward". Nowadays, he believes their music is linked to Satan.
I feel like people unfamiliar with far-right Christianity routinely fail to account for, or even grasp, how deeply repressed they are when discussing them or politically campaigning for things they're against, and I'm not fully sure how to convey that.
