As a kid, I would celebrate holidays by theming my computer appropriately. I remember one time where I set Windows XP's wallpaper to a video of some blinking Christmas lights, for example.

I wish other people celebrated holidays this way, because right now soooo many 4th of July fireworks are going off outside and I can't stand the noise :(
