I'm always a little surprised when an actor who convincingly delivers dialogue that's at least coherent in-world later regards it as incomprehensible mumbo-jumbo.

But they're doing a job, and they're just being good at it. I shouldn't expect actors to be as invested in the logic and canon of the story they're in as *I* am...
