I do think the backlash against #ZachBraff's #Kickstarter for I Wish I Was Here was extremely damaging for "mid level" #moviemaking.

I think a lot of established people saw how Braff was treated and decided not to crowdfund their passion projects. So instead they stay inside the corporate hegemony where everything is measured against the numbers on opening weekend.
