@tindall I mean, you didn't mention the worst part, that that spectrum should never be used period: washingtonpost.com/weather/201

It interferes with weather forecasting since it is too close to water signals we need. Frankly I'm disappointed in non-American countries for refusing to block the US from doing this.

In New York City, workers who have been for years on strike set up an internet service provider #coop. The network infrastructure will be owned by their customers.

Never heard of such an initiative in the past, I think it is interesting to be offered a "coop #isp + your own equipment" bundle for broadband services.

@alatiera I remember you were looking for a touchpad to use on the desktop, what did you end up doing?

Myself, I bought an old used wacom tablet that supports touch for ~30 euros* and it's working pretty well with @gnome 40's gestures!

Very happy with my setup!

@cwebber @mk @codeforchaos Point is: age, gender, and number of children do not necessarily determine ability to use a computer.

Look at how many millennials and zoomers are "computer illiterate", where even mobile platforms are intimidating if they get outside their comfort zones.

Before you can do bad things to people with a clear conscience, you must dehumanise them. In Big Tech designers and developers can build systems that track, profile, and exploit people then go home to hug their kids because they’re not people to them, they’re “users” and “data.”
