Question - if your kids want to voicechat with their friends, what application/program do they use?

I am looking for something that is easy to use for non-tech people, self-hosted and free-software. Preferably something like discord but ethical.

Do I know some PHP developers that is looking for projects to maintain?

I have a wish, that someone will fork this project and maintain it, since the original developer has decided to move on.

I would be very thankful if someone wants to take this, since this powers the temporary mailservice of Linux.Pizza and it also by far - the most used one.
