So, SolusProject does not like criticism regarding strange serverconfiguration and decided to block those users.

@finlaydag33k

I have been unable to register on their forum because postfix on their server is set up "solus-forum.localdomain".
The emails is rejected.

They did not like that I said it, so they blocked me instead.

@selea @finlaydag33k

Shows up as coming from sendgrid.net for me. I just created a new account and sent a confirmation email as validation.

Not sure what you're on about blocking. Nobody was blocked here, I did mute you though.

@SolusProject

Thanks, yes it is actually solved. I guess it must be some old emails still in your queue that the server is still trying to deliver?

@finlaydag33k

@selea @finlaydag33k

Yea I wouldn't rule that out re. queued messages. Phabricator has the same kind of system.

@SolusProject

This is the logs atleast, but I am glad that you could solve it.
Thanks for listening!

postfix/smtpd[25551]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from farnsworth.rit.edu[129.21.198.70]: 450 4.7.1 <solus-forums.localdomain>: Helo command rejected: Host not found; from=<noreply@getsol.us> to=<email@email.tld> proto=ESMTP helo=<solus-forums.localdomain>

@selea

But i think Solus' objective is not fundamentally be free as in freedom distro.. Isn't this what your beef originated or am i completely wrong?

@Linux

No it was not regarding that, but a missconfigured postfixserver that send email from "solus-forum.localdomain" and not a proper hostname.

I have tried to tell them that for weeks. @JoshStrobl does not answer PM's either.

@selea @JoshStrobl

They are a small team with an enormous workload in front of them.

@Linux

I understand that, but I think that a simple answer on the first initial contact would not be that hard.

@selea

Maybe to just leave a bug report on Phabricator is the best course of action..
