@wld Elon Musk is trying to buy it. It is thisclose to happening. Meanwhile, top executives are leaving because they don't agree with his management philosophy. Musk said he would reinstate Donald Trump's accout.
Today Musk made a comment about the number of fake/robo accounts and how that may impact the buy.
@linuxlite58 yikes. I had no idea about the management exodus; thanks for letting me know. I have been meaning to delete my account for a while. Maybe today is finally the day.
@wld I'm not deactivating until the deal goes through. There are a lot of good accounts to follow. Plus I have three accounts - one for Linux stuff, one for Americana music, and another for following national and world news accounts.
@linuxlite58 I can understand the sentiment completely. I feel like my Twitter timeline is a pretty well-curated feed of things I like, but at the same time it's just a carefully engineered time sink that we'd probably be better off dropping. Maybe this ownership crisis will force our hands.
