Takeaways from Metroid: Zero Mission so far:
- backtracking sucks
- hiding forward progress behind secret rooms sucks
- items as a mechanism for progression is cool (as opposes to stat-based levels)
@groovestomp I have tried finishing that game like 3 times. I always get stuck in this one place relatively early on, where I have to precisely jump between platforms.
I do want to finish it.
Never beat the original Metroid either, but I have spoiled the fun of it watching a playthrough.
