My impression of the PineBook Pro - a $200 ARM powered laptop https://blogs.linux.pizza/my-impression-of-the-pinebook-pro-a-200-arm-powered-laptop
First post from the Pinebook Pro.
Now I just have to find a good #matrix client for it
PGP encrypted Emails are best.. Yeah some metadata and subject line may be readable(knowable) by adversaries but the real subject remains hidden.
Also you can respond to emails in your own time, no blue ticks to notify the other person you've received and seen it.. Responses can be as long as you want.
We just shipped v0.1.1 of the P2P Matrix proof-of-concept - and have put together a write-up explaining the project to formally introduce the project, given we're at the point now where you can actually start playing with it! 🎉🎊🦩 https://matrix.org/blog/2020/06/02/introducing-p-2-p-matrix
Today I realized that "dots does not matter in gmail". And that gave me the thought again if I should simple block accounts that is using "gmail.com" email-addresses....
Good or bad idea? Why?
This is just to check in how much interest there is in the following:
Would you like to see Tails to run on mobile phones such as the #PinePhone?
(boost also counts as a yes)
Tails a portable operating system that protects your privacy and helps you avoid censorship.
So #Mastodon v3.1.4 now stores remote media in a new "cache" directory. It was automatically created on my S3 storage provider (my own, running #minio) during the upgrade, but wasn't assigned an access policy, so all new media files turned out unreadable.
Had to do a "mc policy set download media/mastodon/cache" to make it accessible to the public.
[Mastodon feature request: Draft]
I was thinking about how people react with the Mastodon developing term if they need a new Mastodon feature... How to let the developing term know some people need a function if they are not in the Patreon group? Obviously, not all people in here have a GitHub account as well... So I made this image as a function request toot. If you like this function, you can @Gargron in replies and give star and boost this toot. Then the developing term will know the number of people who need this.
