now that's cool!
Challenge:
I'd like to ask you people to boost this post to see how long it'd take for it to reach someone else from my town (Westervoort, The Netherlands).
Of course, that implies that I'm not the only one here that uses Mastodon, but hey, part of the challenge :)
Starting on the 18th of August 2020 :)
GO!
Just found @climagic:
"Cool Unix/Linux Command Line tricks you can use. Here mostly to inspire all to try more. Read docs first, run later."

Remember when stallman gave a talk at the Microsoft campus in Redmond, here's what he said there: https://stallman.org/articles/microsoft-talk.html #stallman #rms #freesw
uuuh, that's nice
i downloaded all torrents from https://modarchive.org and had then 20k zip files scattered in many subfolders. To unpack the zips in their folder i used this nice script:
unzip_d () {
zipfile="$1"
zipdir=${1%.zip}
unzip -d "$zipdir" "$zipfile"
rm "$zipfile"
}
which i fed by using a loop over all found zips ... now waiting for completion because some zips contain zips so i can redo it after the first round ^^
anyway sleep well dear folk
interested in a lot of stuff but politics and sport....
