Pinned toot

I just noticed most people have a toot with a about themselves.

I'm a .NET application and fullstack developer, I've started programming when I was 12 years old because I wanted to make computer games. Nowadays I rarely make games but I still like to make something.

For a year now I've been and since opensource is becoming more and more important to me I'm looking for an opensource printer.

I'm always open to learn new things :)

So today was electionday in The Netherlands, both for province and the waterschappen. ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_ )

Every politician keeps saying "no matter what you vote as long as you go vote"
And every single time on the news:
Reporter: So you have just voted, do you know what the waterschappen does?
Voter: No I really have no clue what they do

Please don't vote if you don't take the time to see what you are voting.

So the first lines of code has been written and a few people have joined to help wherever they can. But we are looking for anyone who wants to help make a logo for CreatorPlanet, so we have something to be recognized by.
We are still in the initial phase of development and documenting, so know that there is a real chance things can won't ever see the day of light (unless people check the repos ofcourse).

If you are interested feel free to toot me.

Hello world!
From this account I will keep you up to date on CreatorPlanet development. CreatorPlanet will be an alternative to Thingiverse but fully opensource and using federation.
Toot us up if you want to help!

Have you considered contributing to #OpenStreetMaps? It's like Wikipedia but for maps - a map that everybody can edit! Today, the NSW Address Import project added thousands of addresses for West Pennant Hills, Warrawee, and West Pymble.

If you know those areas, check it out and start mapping!

As some of you may know I'm making a federated alternative for Thingiverse. Now I know about the ActivityPub standard and I don't like not using standards but how do you all think about using GraphQL instead of using and expanding the ActivityPub standard?
It would be only for Client Server communication and server to server communication would use ActivityPub.

Sorry if I offended you by even thinking about it :)

#Mozilla, please don't do this. We don't want this. It might not be an "ad" but it makes you look bad nonetheless. Especially now given that #Firefox is the only non-Chromium browser out there, you need not alienate your user base.

Here's hoping this gets boosted enough. 😞

Does somebody have some good reading material on distributed/federation systems written for developers? I'm currently in the planning phase of making an FOSS alternative to Thingiverse using federated servers, but no clue where to start.

Hey everyone, this is my first TOOT ever :) and my first experience with decentralized systems
